Hi Guys,
need a single pipe outlet exhaust manifold for 1600-200B engine ?
something more compact , even with a manifold a bit like a SD22.

I am fitting a 200B engine to an old Fiat petrol tractor !
Cant get parts for the old Fiat engine so what can I do?

The engine is in but the 200B manifold is too low at the down-pipe join ,then there is the chassis rail,so something with a single pipe or higher joint?

Cheers
Berridale

A 180 manifold is shorter item hoever you may need to buy some extractors and rip out the grinder and weld to get them around the rail.

How much shorter?

Do you have a picture of a 1600manifold?

had thought of the extractors,is the inlet detached easily?

Thanks

Inlet and exhaust manifolds are separate, only thing they have in common is a few bolts with large washers that span both manifolds.

Oh, and the manifold gasket is all in one (does both inlet and exhaust).

From memory 1600, 180B and 200B exhaust manifolds all have the same flange gasket and therefore are all have twin pipes exiting them. I know Nissan also made forklifts. I don't know if any used the L series motor, but if they did there may be a compact single exit pipe exhaust manifold. A couple of calls to forklift repairers should give you an idea of how feasable it is to chase one. If it's no-go then you're stuck with modifying extractors.

Good luck!

Just remembered there is a diesel version of the L20B. Uncommon in Australia, but there are some here. It may be worth checking out their exhaust manifold.

The LD20 (diesel version of the L20) has the same dual outlet configuration (at least the one I have does...NB Exh man casting marking is M17)
Same sort of length/depth as the petrol version (with the flange at about sump joint level)
Extractors are looking good... :?
